My Local Pharmacy Home

Thanks to the generosity of Kingston citizens, we were able to raise over $1,600 to use as a donation to thank our local fire, police, and first response staff.

A couple months ago, we decided we wanted to do something to show our appreciation to the men and women who help keep our city clean, safe, and healthy. Pretty quickly, we decided upon a fundraiser that we could use to get something for these wonderful folks.

We started out with an empty jar, a couple flyers, and a post on our facebook page. Slowly but surely, as patients came into our pharmacy and made donations and people online kicked in as well, we began to realize we were going to be able to actually achieve our goal.

Before we knew it, the amount we had raised was $1,660.00! So, we decided it was time to present our community's gift. The money was divided up and used to provide dinner gift cards.

To present the gift cards, we attended an event on December 12th , 2018  at the fire safety meeting in the Kingston masonic lodge. We passed out the  gift cards  and devotionals to directors of individual fire departments of different lake communities of Marshall county, and other police and first response staff members.

We want to say thank you to Pastor Toni Hignight, from Kingston United Methodist, and Representative Beverly, from Lighthouse United Methodist for presenting "Strength for Service to God and Community" devotionals as well.

Finally, we of course want to say thank you again to everyone who donated and helped make this wonderful event possible. We hope to do another here before too long, so if anyone has any good ideas as to whom we should raise funds for - contact us via facebook!
